"Wondering which bathrooms are nice and which will give you crabs? This site aims to answer that question — pictures included."
Thanks Daily Candy!
Also, due to DC's latest newsletter which included us this morning, our site is running slightly slower than usual so please be patient! We are acquiring new servers and constantly growing. Thanks for visiting!!
Every NY block's replete with restaurants where you can discover delicious foreign cuisine -- which you'll briefly savor before urgently needing to expel it from your body. Dropping the knowledge you need, SitOrSquat.com.
A disturbingly comprehensive, user-generated GMap/ratings system for public and semi-public crappers, Sit's the work of a husband-wife team who've apparently moved way past peeing with the door open. Simply click the blue icons to get venue name (from Fiddlesticks to the Forbes Building to Crate & Barrel) and a descrip including ingress strategies ("Just stroll past the doorman and you're in", "2nd floor past kids' books"), plus ratings, photos, and features, e.g., "Seat Covers", "Condom Vending Machine", and "Attendant" -- a.k.a., Mint Vending Machine, but don't tell him that. Anyone can submit a stall, but you must profile up to rate others' posts and add specific ass depots to your favorites list. So you'd, uh, better create that profile.
Sit also lists toilets nationwide and across the globe, perfect for when you're traveling in a foreign country and want to give them the American perspective on Roosi Batair.
Sit's also avail for iPhones, and they're offering $500 to whomever adds the most crappers by Dec 22. Never want for a poo station again at SitorSquat.com
Big news today! We've been downloaded near 1,000 times on the iTunes App Store and we've added over 50,000 service station toilets in the United States. Please feel free to add photos and comments to any of them which may be in your area or if you have ever visited them. We're currently working on adding more service stations throughout the world as more data comes in. Stay tuned!
The iPhone app was officially put on the iTunes store at 12:45am EST on October 19, 2008. Since then we've been working like crazy trying to support all the traffic coming in and fixing all back end issues. We're psyched it's finally up though!!
The homepage is coming today which will contain the logo, tag line, and a "coming soon" visual of the iphone app and the blackberry app. Once those are in place the site should work much better!
